Governor Natalio Fernandez Beltran III of Odiongan, Romblon is the only son of former Assemblyman, DPWH Deputy Minister and Congressman Natalio M. Beltran, Jr. (deceased) and businesswoman Elsa Fernandez Beltran.

Governor Beltran III or Jojo, as he is fondly called by his friends and colleagues, is married to Susan Salcedo Beltran. They are blessed with four healthy children, namely, Natalio IV, Nathaniel, Nicole, and Neil Gobriel.

Governor Beltran was destined to break records as one of the youngest public servant. In 1997 at age 26, he was the youngest ever elected Barangay Chairman and subsequently the youngest ever elected Chapter President of the Liga ng mga Barangay Manila Chapter (1997-2002). At 36, he was also the youngest ever elected Governor in the province of Romblon.

In 2002, he was reelected as Chapter President of the Liga ng mga Barangay Manila. He also became the number 1 Board of Director and Treasurer of the National Executive Board of the Liga ng mga Barangay sa Pilipinas (2002-2006).

Presently as Governor, he was appointed Assistant Treasurer of the League of Provinces of the Philippines.

In the region of MIMAROPA, he is the Chairman of the Sectoral Committee on Social Development.

Governor Beltran III has a degree in Business Administration from the Philippine School of Business Administration.

Prior to entering the political arena, he was a Branch Manager of Lambdan Security Agency, Inc., a family owned business.

His managerial skills have earned him the respect of their clients and hundreds of employees. He is known for his hands-on management and administration style.

In June 18, 2003, his father on his deathbed had repeatedly told the young Beltran to take care of Romblon saying, “Anak huwag mong pababayaan ang Romblon”.

Soon after his father’s death, the young Beltran returned and visited his roots. This time, though, it wasn’t just a regular visit. He went around Romblon and conducted a series of consultations with the elders and the people. It was then that he became fully convinced that much has yet to be done for the people and the province’s development. His father had the vision and it was up to him to help bring it to fruition.

Against all skepticism, he ran for the gubernatorial post. A lot of issues and propaganda were hurled at him but he prevailed and won by a landslide.

In his administration, he has directed all the department heads and provincial employees to stay focus on their vision and ensure the adequate and timely delivery of basic services.
