Gov. JOJO BELTRAN and Cong. BUDOY MADRONA visits Romblomanons in DUBAI

The Romblomanon Community in DUBAI happily welcomed Gov. JOJO BELTRAN and Cong. BUDOY MADRONA as they arrived for a 3-day visit in DUBAI. The visit is aimed to convene the Romblomanon Community and organize an association that will help design and support the existing development projects and programs for the province of Romblon. The visit was stengthened by the presence of Mayors of different municipalities in the province.

After the productive and successful meeting , Gov. BELTRAN, Cong MADRONA, the Mayors and Romblomanons in DUBAI engaged into a "Kamustahan" over a sumptuous lunch. The momentous event completed with a photo shoot.

The Municipality of Romblon will held the first ever ROMBLON ECO-ADVENTURE CHALLENGE, in line with the upcoming "BINIRAY FESTIVAL 2009". The participants and athletes will have a 2-day adventure on January 9 and 11, 2009 and will experience the Romblon's very own "BINIRAY FESTIVAL".

RED Cross ReLief operation

The Philippine National Red Cross with the help of the Provincial Government of Romblon, dessiminate relief goods in all the barangays of the municipality of San Jose last August 6-11, 2008. The said operation was headed by the Romblon Chief of Staff Emilio Beltran, instructed by our good governor Natalio Beltran.

A.W.A.R.E. in ACtion

Association of Women in Action for Romblon Enhancement (AWARE) led by Susan Beltran significantly marked the last quarter of 2007 with the LIBRENG BINYAGAN ‘07 in the municipalities of Odiongan and Romblon and was the first project successfully implemented. The project brought so much spiritual joy and completeness not only to the one thousand three hundred (1,300) children that were baptized but also to the parents and their families as a whole.

VIce president Noli de castro visits romblon

VP Noli De Castro visits Romblon to personally provide assistance and relief goods to the affected families cause by typhoon "Frank". While in Romblon the vice president also oversee the retrieval of the dead bodies of the sunken MV Princess of the Stars.

The "BINIRAY FESTIVAL 2009" is a festivity in honor of the Holy Child Jesus. It is regaled with a fluvial parade of marchers adorned with flowers and brightly painted costumes and faces which carries the Santo Niño through the streets of Romblon aboard a palanquin, a litter held aloft on bamboo poles. The festival will be held on January 9-19, 2009.

The fiesta is highlighted by a flotilla of vessels that circles Romblon Bay seven times, marking the fruitless attempts to remove the Santo Niño from the province.
